Kitty Kat Haven and Rescue is unable to accept new intakes at this time. The Haven has a limited capacity and we are currently exceeding what we feel is the appropriate number for our facility. Until we can build a larger facility our maximum capacity will not change. Overcrowding contributes to stress and complicates the medical care of our animals. More animals also equates to longer hours for our volunteers and leads to their fatigue. Our foster network is also fully leveraged further compromising our ability to bring in additional cats.

Obviously as a rescue whose mission is to serve the cats in need in our community this was a difficult decision. Once we reduce our numbers or find a way to increase our capacity, we will resume our mission. Thank you for supporting our mission at Kitty Kat Haven.

If you have found a cat or kitten, consider fostering it, or caring for it in place. Seek other rescues. Work with your vet or other area vets for sponsorship for adoption options. If appropriate for the safety of the cat consider doing a trap, neuter, return.

Our current focus is on getting quality homes for the cats and kittens currently in our care. Success with adoptions means we can rescue more cats! Please stop in and see us Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at our Haven located at 2113 Marlboro Street in Hoover. Or visit our Saturday adoption events at Petco Hoover or Trussville.

Thank you for your support!
