Over the past few weeks Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue has been experiencing a veritable flood of emails and phone calls inquiring about, and applying for, kittens. In the first 3 weeks of the month of April we have received over 360 emails regarding adoptions alone.

Please be patient with us as we work through emails and applications. We are keeping track of all applications received and working them in order. Each application takes time to do reference checks and phone calls. It is not an instant process. No one is jumping line. However, all applications are judged on their merits and best fit for kitten(s) and family.

Kitten season is just getting underway and, with the closure of many of the spay/neuter programs due to COVID-19, it will be a difficult one. Unfortunately there will be no shortage of wonderful kittens looking for a good home. So please don't be discouraged and keep those applications coming!

We appreciate your patience with us during this time. And thank you for wanting to #AdoptNotShop!

Our Haven is closed to the public till further notice. Our cats are being cared for daily, but we can not risk the spread of this virus by opening to the public. So we will not be open our normal times to the public of Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Due to COVID-19 these are strange and unprecedented times in which we find ourselves and it behooves us to take reasonable precautions. In an abundance of caution and out of respect for the safety of our many volunteers and fosters Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue will be open for adoption by appointment only. This arrangement will stand for the foreseeable future until such time as the CDC alters its recommendation about gathering and social distancing.

If you would like to come and meet our wonderful teens and adults at the Haven house please send us an email at kittykathaven1@gmail.com. It would help us if you start the subject with “Adoption Appointment”. Please bear with any delay in responding. We will do our best to be timely.

We will also be suspending foster visitation in the foster homes for our kittens. If you are interested in meeting a kitten we will arrange for a meeting in an alternate location such as the Haven. Again you can send such a request to our email address. PETCO adoption events have also been suspended.

Our mission to find the cats and kittens in our care their forever homes does not waver. We hope that those of you who have been contemplating adding a new member to their family will keep moving forward with that plan and come and see us.

Our mission is to save abandoned, stray and injured cats and kittens. We provide the cats with complete vetting in a safe and loving environment. Our cats are available for adoption to loving homes.
